Anna Bronowski and Juliana Holtzheimer established their fashion label JAN N JUNE in August 2014. Two glasses of wine were involved when the two Hamburg based women first played with the idea of developing a stylish eco fashion brand characterized by sustainable production and affordable prices.
The founders believe that affordable fashion doesn’t mean a trade-off between profit and people or environment. Their garments are produced in Poland and Portugal in family-owned and/or certified factories. All materials are certified. The manufacturers are visited on a regular basis to define the workmanships for each article and audit the factories. There are contracts with partners which strictly forbid to pass on orders to third parties, so that JAN N JUNE can guarantee full transparency throughout their entire production chain. The goal is to build long-lasting partnerships with suppliers. At JAN N JUNE transparency is equally important as social and environmental responsibility.
Since November 2018, the minimalist JAN N JUNE look is also available for men.

Furthermore the brand works with offcuts. They launched a first offcut collection in 2018 to create the best out of what’s already there: accessories such as bags, scrunchies, headbands and even stationery. The production of their notebooks is linked to a social project based in India. Sidenote: Items are not wrapped in plastic, but in reusable pergamin bags.
