Comeback of sex & sensuality

The time of the pandemic is a time of deprivation. Contact restrictions, minimum distances and quarantine have made people feel alone, exposed to isolation. While at the start of the pandemic, retreat and movement in the open air was still a theme in fashion, via a boom in cozy homewear, comfortable shapes, sportswear and activewear, the trend has now turned in a different direction. The longing for contact and relationship with other people is clearing its way towards the gradual end of the pandemic.

As a consequence, the designers are showing a lot of bare skin for the coming summer 2022. This probably happens not only to suggest sex, but also to draw attention to vulnerability and sensitivity. And to understand the human being in his nature, in his original essence. As a result, transparency and backless designs were used in the collections, legs are in focus. The middle of the body becomes an exciting eye-catcher, sometimes with cut-outs and wrap-around optics.

Die Zeit der Pandemie ist eine Zeit der Entbehrung. Kontaktbeschränkungen, Mindestabstände und Quarantäne haben dazu geführt, dass sich Menschen allein fühlten, sich Isolation ausgesetzt sahen. Während zum Start der Pandemie noch Rückzug und Bewegung im Freien in der Mode Thematisierung fanden, über einen Boom von cozy Homewear, komfortable Shapes und Sports- sowie Activewear, hat sich der Trend nun in eine andere Richtung verkehrt. Die Sehnsucht nach Berührung und Beziehung zu anderen Menschen bahnt sich zum allmählichen Ausklang der Pandemie ihren Weg frei.

Als Konsequenz zeigen die Designer für den kommenden Sommer 2022 viel nackte Haut. Dies passiert wohl nicht nur einfach, um Sex zu suggerieren, sondern auch um auf Verletzlichkeit und Empfindsamkeit aufmerksam zu machen. Und den Menschen in seiner Natur, in seinem ursprünglichen Wesen zu begreifen. In den Kollektionen kamen demzufolge Transparenz, Bein- und Rückenfreiheit zum Tragen. Die Körpermitte avanciert, mitunter auch über Cut-outs und Wickeloptiken, zum aufregenden Blickfang.
